🧀 High-Protein Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

✅ Ingredients (makes ~24 balls)

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground chicken sausage or turkey sausage

  • 4 oz (115 g) light cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup almond flour

  • ¼ cup unflavored whey protein isolate (or egg white protein)

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ cup Rotel (drained very well)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Tip: Drain Rotel on paper towels so the mixture isn’t wet.


🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment.

  2. In a large bowl, mix sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, egg, and spices.

  3. Stir in almond flour and protein powder.

  4. Fold in well-drained Rotel.

  5. Roll into golf-ball-size balls (about 1½ tbsp each).

  6. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.

  7. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
