Keto Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli Skillet

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 12 oz smoked sausage (keto-friendly), sliced

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 3 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup chicken broth (or water)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)

  • Fresh lemon juice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage:
    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté broccoli:
    Add 1 tbsp oil to the same skillet. Add broccoli, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 3–4 minutes. Add chicken broth, cover, and steam for 2 minutes until tender-crisp.

  3. Cook shrimp:
    Push broccoli to one side. Add remaining oil and garlic. Cook for 30 seconds, then add shrimp, paprika, chili flakes, and Italian seasoning. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until shrimp turns pink.

  4. Combine:
    Return sausage to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for 1–2 more minutes.

  5. Finish:
    Sprinkle with Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.

  • Swap broccoli for zucchini or asparagus for variety
