Keto Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Here’s a Keto Philly Cheesesteak Casserole that’s rich, cheesy, and very low-carb—perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (optional but recommended)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, very low carb)

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

  • 6 slices provolone cheese (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until just browned. Remove and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions, peppers, and mushrooms until soft and lightly caramelized (6–8 minutes). Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  4. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in cream cheese, heavy cream, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.

  5. Return beef to the skillet and stir to coat evenly.

  6. Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and layer provolone slices.

  8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving.


Optional Add-Ins

  • Sautéed jalapeños 🌶️

  • Extra mushrooms for volume

  • A dash of garlic butter on top before baking
