🍽️ Makes: 6 pasties


📝 Ingredients

High-Protein Dough

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unflavored protein powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 2–4 tbsp cold water (as needed)

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef

  • 1 small potato, very small dice

  • ½ cup finely diced carrot

  • ½ cup finely diced onion

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For Sealing

  • 1 egg, beaten


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1) Make the dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, protein powder, and salt.

  2. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.

  3. Stir in Greek yogurt. Add cold water a little at a time until dough forms.

  4. Wrap and chill 20 minutes.

2) Make the filling

  1. In a skillet, cook beef with onion, carrot, and potato for 6–8 minutes.

  2. Add garlic powder, thyme, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.

  3. Let mixture cool.

3) Assemble

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line tray with parchment.

  2. Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into a 6–7 inch circle.

  3. Place filling on one half of each circle.

  4. Fold over, crimp edges with a fork.

  5. Brush with beaten egg.

4) Bake

  • Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
