Simple High-Protein Steak Fajitas

Macros (approx, per serving – no tortillas)

  • Protein: 40–50g

  • Low carb, big flavor

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb flank steak or skirt steak

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate steak
Mix oil, lime juice, garlic, spices. Rub onto steak.
(15 minutes is enough — overnight is 🔥 if you plan ahead.)

  2. Sear steak
Heat a skillet or grill pan on high. Cook 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare.

  3. Rest & slice
Let steak rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.

  4. Sauté veggies
In the same pan, cook peppers & onions 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.

  5. Combine
Toss steak back in with veggies just to warm.

How to Serve (Protein-First)

  • Over cauliflower rice

  • In low-carb tortillas

  • As a fajita bowl with avocado + sour cream

  • Straight from the pan (no judgment 😄)

Protein Boost Tips

  • Choose skirt steak for slightly higher protein

  • Add extra steak instead of more toppings

  • Finish with a squeeze of lime + fresh cilantro
